- process flow chart [understand & be able to draw]
- outputs by process groups [memorize them with their processes]
- project document descriptions [memorize them & what process they belong to] ⇒ flash cards with definitions & process along with document name
Study tips
- 6-20 hours per week of study time → need to study 60-100 times. try to study every day
- Read the PMBOK at least once
- the day before the exam → review formulas and process table
- during exam, → write down formulas in the first 5 minutes [16 formulas] as well as a process chart
- first - means u have to prioritize, when it says best means all are good, but choose them wisely
- drag and drop can include answers that don’t belong anywhere
- drag & drop can include processes into process groups
- drag & drop can be ranking, linking process to process groups, linking outputs to process groups, ordering & organizing different theories & hierarchies & their motivations, linking approaches, different diagrams to their tools & processes
Most PMP questions align with a logical process flow:
- Identify the Problem:
- What is happening? Which process group is this in?
- Evaluate the Impact:
- How does this affect scope, schedule, cost, quality, or other constraints?
- Take Action or Escalate:
- Can the PM handle this, or is escalation required?
- Document the Outcome:
- Ensure that decisions and results are formally documented.
